Middleville Engineered Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our engineering process, creating and refining the tool and fixture designs that drive our production. What You'll Do:
- Design with Precision: Modify and create intricate die and fixture designs, details, and bills of material to support tooling and manufacturing departments.
- Collaborate and Support: Work closely with Tooling, Machining, and Manufacturing Engineering to review part specifications and requirements.
- Manage Standards: Prepare outsourced designs to adhere to MES structures and ensure all work complies with ISO and IATF 16949 standards.
- Drive Innovation: Apply lean manufacturing concepts to your work methods and facilitate design review meetings.
- Master Documentation: Maintain design and print files through document control and assist other departments with the creation of various electronic files (STEP, PDF, etc.).

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; OR four years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Intricate knowledge of metal stamping die design, including progressive dies.
- Software: Training in 2D and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a tool shop or tool and die environment is preferred.
Complexity of Duties Independent action and self-motivation are of primary importance to ensure the proper utilization of time and the completion of tasks unsupervised.
Contact with Others Requires frequent contact with Associates at all levels of the company. Must use tact and professional communication to ensure proper participation and results.
Mental or Visual Demand High mental demand requiring close concentration and sustained visual attention to detail.
Confidential Data Regularly works with general manufacturing data and proprietary manufacturing techniques that could jeopardize the Company’s competitive advantage if disclosed.
Working Conditions Normal office environment.
