JOB SUMMARY
The Cybersecurity SME is responsible for the planning, execution, integration, and security of information systems, technology modernization initiatives, and mission-critical environments in support of the Open System Enclave (OSE) projects. All OSE projects will fall under the Command, Control, Communications & Battle Management (C3BM) Combined Test Force (CTF) for the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC).
Acts as principal advisor to senior Air Force leadership on strategic cybersecurity initiatives, technology risk management, and program execution, integrating operational requirements, and enterprise cyber security objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the lead cybersecurity authority for the Open System Enclave (OSE) assigned systems and platforms, ensuring compliance with DoD Instruction 8510.01 (RMF for DoD IT), NIST SP 800-53, and Air Force cybersecurity policies.
- Coordinates with Authorizing Officials (AOs), Security Control Assessors (SCAs), and system owners to achieve and maintain system Authorization to Operate (ATO).
- Oversees the development and maintenance of system authorization packages (ATO/ATC) and ensures adherence to established timelines.
- Ensures all cybersecurity documentation, such as System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and Continuous Monitoring reports, and other artifacts, are current and accurate.
- Coordinates with aircraft and cyber security Special Program Offices to ensure RMF timelines and ATO packages are accomplished to meet fielding requirements.
- Serves as program/project manager for hardware integration, software development, and cybersecurity modernization efforts supporting Open System Enclave projects.
- Works directly for the C3BM CTF Director and supports as the coordination integrator, ensuring the effective execution of strategic priorities, cross-functional projects, and administrative operations.
- Exercises broad responsibility for synchronizing activities across divisions, monitoring the status of critical programs, and preparing executive-level correspondence, briefings, and decision packages. Represents the Director in meetings and working groups and ensures follow-through on assigned actions and priorities.
- Defines project scope, objectives, milestones, and performance metrics consistent with strategic priorities and fiscal constraints for all projects within the OSE CTF.
- Directs multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, cybersecurity professionals, acquisition personnel, and contractors across geographically dispersed sites.
- Leads risk management, schedule integration, and stakeholder engagement across internal and external agencies.
- Provides leadership and oversight for project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with Air Force and DoD cybersecurity directives, risk management frameworks (RMF), and strategic objectives.
- Prepares reports, dashboards, and briefing materials to update the CTF Director and senior leadership on project status.
- Responsible for adhering to company Policies and Processes.
- The Cybersecurity SME will submit MSR’s (Monthly Status Reports) to GMRE headquarters by the 5th day of every month. The MSR will include employee’s name, supported MDS, a maximum of 5 bullet points for significant events for the month, travel for the past month and any significant events and activities for the next 60 days.
- The Cybersecurity SME will support the AATC Commander as needed on various ancillary projects.
- Assist the Program Manager as needed on various ancillary projects/tasks.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Extensive technical skill in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows operating systems, server hardware components, advanced data storage solutions, network, and telecommunications equipment, to include Domain Name Service, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, File Transfer Protocol, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of Air Force Information Security System Officer (ISSO)/Information Security Officer (ISO) experience or network administrator, or 4 years working as a Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst, or experience as an Incident Response team member, or Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, or Information System Security Manager (ISSM)/Information Assurance Manager (IAM).
- Any one or more of the DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II or III certifications, IASAE I, II, or III certifications, or certification listed as a CSSP Analyst, Infrastructure Support, Incident Responder, Auditor, or Manager that is not listed as an IAT/IAM Level 1 certification.
SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Top Secret security clearance required. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Program Manager as needed on various ancillary projects/tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
- This position may require travel up to 50% of the time from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS locations and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time to fulfill contract requirements.
