Description

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The shipping and receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.


Shipping and Receiving Clerk Duties:

  • Closes manufacturing orders in system ensuring materials are issued.
  • Closes sales orders in system.
  • Package all shipments according to customers, industry and company guidelines.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation’s (i.e., air bills, shipping labels, etc.).
  • Familiar with FedEx and UPS shipping forms and requirements.
  • Prepare daily shipping log and distribute as required.
  • Arrange for freight carrier pick-ups, as necessary.
  • Maintains all controlled documents as necessary.
  • Ensure proper documentation accompanies incoming receipts
  • Obtain OSHA forklift driver certification.
  • Inducts customer material and generates shop work orders.
  • This position will support production as needed and determined by operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Requirements

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Requirements:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 30 pounds.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Past Shipping/Receiving experience in relatable industry.
