Job Description
Main tasks
- Acting as a coach in agile development environments
- Guiding teams through complex technical challenges – from their first “turns” in code to
confidently navigating production-grade cloud setups - Responsibility for technical leadership, architectural decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and driving knowledge sharing across the team
Focusing not only in building stable and scalable software, but also in empowering
developers to grow and excel.
Qualifications
Background and required skills:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in the Java ecosystem, especially with Java (8+), Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate
- deep technical expertise in containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes
- experience in cloud-native development (AWS/GCP optional)
- experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI
- proven experience in the application of Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking and/or other agile methods
- Strong team player with leadership capabilities
- Solution-oriented communicator, even under pressure
- Self-driven with a strong understanding of the bigger picture
- Strong mentoring skills
- Fluent English written and oral skills. German is a plus
