Job Summary/Purpose
The Information Technology Technician (IT Technician) provides hands-on technical support and day-to-day operational support for the organization’s technology and information systems. This role is essential to keeping the organization running smoothly by ensuring technology systems are stable, secure, and responsive to user needs.
More broadly, the IT Technician supports the day-to-day operation, reliability, and availability of the organization’s technology environment. This includes supporting corporate office and retail locations, maintaining core systems, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure technology enables efficient, uninterrupted business operations. The role also plays an important part in safeguarding company technology assets and data. In some cases, similar support may be provided to affiliated or non-company entities.
Because the organization operates across multiple, diverse business units, technology needs vary by function and location. As a result, the IT Technician may develop and apply specialized expertise and may be assigned responsibility for supporting specific systems, platforms, or functional areas based on business needs.
The IT Technician will have access to sensitive and confidential information. Maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and appropriate use of this information is a critical responsibility of the role.

2. Carry out work according to project schedules and daily priorities established by Information Technology leadership.
3. Install, maintain, and support IT hardware, devices, and platforms, and assist with routine maintenance and upgrades as directed.
4. Use the company’s service request (ticketing) system to document, track, and update user support requests, and encourage users to submit requests through the system when seeking assistance.
5. Troubleshoot and evaluate connectivity, hardware, and software issues, escalating more complex problems as appropriate.
6. Set up, configure, and deploy equipment for new users, including computers, peripherals, and related technology.
7. Install, run, and terminate Ethernet cabling as needed to support business operations.
8. Provide technical support via phone, remote access, or on-site visits, based on user needs and system requirements.
9. Serve as a point of coordination between business locations and internal IT support resources to help ensure accurate issue identification and resolution.
10. Maintain positive, cooperative working relationships with employees across the organization.
