We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Allergy and Asthma team to administer allergy shots (Allergen Immunotherapy or AIT). In this role, you will play a vital part in administering allergy injections with the utmost safety and effectiveness. You will be responsible for adhering to established processes and protocols and guaranteeing the consistent delivery of high-quality care. This team member must demonstrate excellent communication skills with other team members, physicians, and patients.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine allergy injections safely and effectively.
  • Accurately document relevant information in electronic medical record.
  • Responsible for the daily upkeep of AIT fridges, as well as conducting audits and managing equipment logs.
  • Handles private patient health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices.
  • Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice and instruction.
  • Adhere to all consent policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
  • Willingness to travel between all clinic locations.
  • Valid Driver’s License.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year experience working in specialty care
