About the Role

Description

Principal Objective of the Position: This position is the senior level maintenance person overseeing various sites and is responsible for the overall maintenance of the sites including planning, coordinating, budgeting, organizing and maintaining the physical needs of the sites. This person will perform and direct other maintenance personnel in the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical/mechanical systems, plumbing, grounds, structural elements, mechanical equipment and refurbishment of apartments. The Area Maintenance Supervisor, under the direction of the Area Manager, generates satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations and optimal resident retention.

Are you a skilled, proactive, and organized leader with a passion for ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards? We’re seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the maintenance efforts across our properties, providing a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead & Manage: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Plan & Coordinate: Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, ensuring that preventive maintenance is performed regularly.
  • Hands-On Support: Step in to perform maintenance tasks as needed, offering guidance and expertise on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Monitor & Optimize: Track maintenance performance metrics, manage budgets, and optimize operations to minimize downtime and costs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership Skills: You have experience leading a maintenance team, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Expertise: You bring hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Communication & Teamwork: You can effectively communicate with your team, management, and residents, ensuring clarity and efficiency in all maintenance activities.
  • Attention to Detail: You are diligent in ensuring that all tasks are completed thoroughly and to the highest standard.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar leadership role is preferred.

Work Hours & Benefits:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with flexibility. On-call as needed to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
