Description

Operation of fabrication machinery including shear, press brake, turret punch and laser.  At times, this can be physically demanding. The position requires the ability to read blueprints and measure accurately using a tape measure. The candidate is expected to learn the products and processes quickly in order to keep the production lines on schedule. Willing to train candidates that are willing to learn.

• Complete material work orders for production in a timely manner
• Unload raw materials from truck using a forktruck
• Move raw materials from lift tables onto the appropriate machine
• Operate forklift and CNC equipment as appropriate with level of training received
• Maintain all safety standards and guidelines at all times
• Clean and maintain work area
• Able to be trained to operate a forktruck

Requirements

 Requirements

• Basic reading, writing and simple math skills
• Ability to use measuring devices accurately on a consistent basis
• Change out machine dies during machine setup, including but not limited to LOTO
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to operate various shop tools (including power and manually operated)
• Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) English clearly
