BASIC FUNCTION:
Under direct supervision, the Logger is responsible for safely handling and operating the logging units. The logger will be expected to work in a productive manner with minimal supervision while in the field and at remote locations. The position will report directly to the Logging Supervisor on a day to day basis. The position is a full-time position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate line logging unit and PFN tool.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on logging unit.
- Troubleshoot and repair logging equipment.
- Maintain computer and hard copy logs, and communicate results as directed.
- Complete daily maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Accept individual responsibility and accountability for HSE processes within his/her control, his/her personal safety, and the safety of coworkers.
- Promptly correct or report potential workplace hazards.
- Effectively communicate with drillers, drilling foreman, geologist, Drilling Superintendent, and Logging Supervisor to ensure efficient operations occur.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess valid Texas Drivers License.
- Read and write and speak fluently in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with other employees
- Understand and follow safety rules.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of drilling operations.
- Ability to work closely through communication and coordination with other departments and to accomplish the work activities in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Knowledge of using computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs, over short distances.
- Ability to work productively with minimal or no supervision.
- Possess hearing and eyesight of correction to normal able-bodied level.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as the job requires.
- Ability to walk, bend and kneel to safely access work areas as required.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
