About the Role

Description

Position Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant performs appointment scheduling and registration for patients and updates demographic information. Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians. Prepares the examination room for the patient to take patient vital signs and records vitals in the medical chart. This position also maintains patients’ medical charts and receives co-payments for the visit. Requirements

  

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent Required 
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment Required 
  • 1 to 2 years of related work experience is Preferred
    • If not currently certified, must obtain certification within the first 90 days       of employment
