Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, detailed business requirements that enable effective and scalable solutions.
The role involves gathering and analysing business needs, translating them into functional specifications and user stories in Jira, and supporting developers and testers during the build and test phases to ensure accurate implementation.
You will ideally have experience in delivering business and technical solutions, using a variety of tools and frameworks, and a proven track record of producing high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and participate in end-to-end project activities, from requirement gathering and workshops through to solution design, development, and delivery.
- Gather, analyse, validate, and document business and system requirements using structured techniques.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to elicit and prioritise requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Create detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and Jira user stories with complete user acceptance criteria (UAC).
- Review and validate acceptance criteria (AC) from the customer, covering both simple and complex modules.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and traceable.
- Identify and document technical debt, dependencies, and edge cases that may impact scalability or upgrade potential.
- Conduct options analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies to evaluate solution alternatives.
- Manage stakeholders across all levels—from senior leadership to delivery teams—both internally and with clients.
- Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs and quality standards.
- Assist in post-implementation reviews, identify lessons learned, and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven Business Analysis experience within a Consultancy, IT Services, or Public Sector organisation.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including writing and managing epics, features, and user stories in Jira.
- Demonstrated proficiency in producing high-quality deliverables such as:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- Business Process Maps and Models (BPMN)
- Data flow diagrams and interface specifications
- Experience working closely with developers, solution architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and implemented correctly.
- Ability to define and coordinate UAT scenarios, support defect triage, and ensure successful sign-off.
- Skilled in preparing training materials, system documentation, process guides, and user manuals.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Visio, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business-friendly language.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work in US business hours (US shift) to support global stakeholders and project delivery timelines.

- Knowledge of React to work on a React upgrade project
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and SQL (advantageous).
- Knowledge of React and familiarity with front-end technologies to support a React upgrade project.
