Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced RN Manager for a permanent Medical Surgical leadership opportunity in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Under the supervision of the Director, the RN Manager oversees the daily operations of the Medical Surgical unit. This leader works collaboratively with the Director to guide departmental growth, patient satisfaction, physician relationships, and fiscal responsibility. The Manager supervises and directs the delivery of patient care and care-related services in alignment with hospital policies, vision, mission, and strategic goals. The role partners closely with staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities include maintaining expert clinical knowledge within the department, managing day-to-day operations such as scheduling, patient rounding, and patient satisfaction initiatives, assisting with staff competency development, supporting patient flow, interviewing and hiring personnel, assessing and evaluating employee performance, implementing development and performance plans, and completing annual staff evaluations. The Manager is responsible for counseling staff and administering disciplinary actions when needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional nursing standards, evaluating patient outcomes, assisting with unit budgeting, maintaining quality audits and daily core measures, and overseeing supply management.
Compensation for this role is based on experience and ranges from $47.30 to $65.20 per hour. Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements
- Must hold an active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license or a valid compact state RN license.
- 1–3 years of related acute care leadership experience in a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry setting is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
