Employment Consultants assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment, across a variety of industries from food service and retail to tech and pharmaceutical.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify job interests, skills, and goals;
  • Assist individuals with preparing to enter the workforce;
  • Develop employment opportunities and coordinate job placements;
  • Provide on-the-job training and support;
  • Identify and advocate for accommodations;
  • Establish and maintain rapport with employers and support teams;
  • Complete required reports and documentation.

Requirements

To be successful, you must:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Associate degree (or 2 years of credit toward an advanced degree) in human services or closely related discipline is acceptable.
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule, at times outside of a typical work week
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
