  • Attractive hourly rates + Penalty rates on overtime
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Monday to Friday roster, 6am to 2pm, some calls outs required

 

Your new role in Cairns awaits:

As a Field Service Mechanic, based in Weipa, you will assume responsibility for the efficient and effective servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of our extensive range of hire equipment and machinery on customer sites, all over the FNQ region.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture – champion safety with your colleagues and customers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site – work on Access, Earthmoving, Compaction, Generators, Lighting, Traffic Management, Trucks & Vehicles, Small Tools & Equipment and Material Handling, whilst always ensuring exceptional customer service and high standard of safety.
  • Maintaining up-to-date service records for all service and repair work.
  • Minimise operational downtime of equipment.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

In addition to effective time management, attention to detail and strong commitment to safety, you will also require:

  • Drivers Licence & Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
  • Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
  • Forklift & EWP ticket (highly regarded)
  • Rio Tinto site induction preferred
