Position Overview:

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room assignment at a large academic medical center in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a high-volume, Level I Trauma OR with complex surgical services.

Schedule:

• Day and evening coverage required

• Mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

• Shift times range between 6:30 AM – 11:30 PM

• Call required

• Weekend coverage required as needed

• No RTO accepted between 02/15/26 and 02/28/26

Compensation:

• Gross: $2,457 per week

• W2: $24.50 per hour

• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

• Locals accepted at the same rate

Contract Details:

• Start Date: February 23, 2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Number of Openings: 2

• Orientation: 40 hours

Unit Overview:

• General OR in a teaching hospital environment

• Level I Trauma Center

• Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population

Surgical Case Exposure Includes:

• Neurosurgery and spine

• Complex orthopedic and ortho spine

• General and bariatric surgery

• Trauma and emergency cases

• Robotics, transplant, burns, ENT, GU, plastics, and vascular procedures

Call Expectations:

• Weekdays: 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Weekends: 12-hour call shifts (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required

• At least 2 years of Level I or Level II Trauma OR experience required

• REQUIRED experience in Neurosurgery and Neuro/Spine cases

• REQUIRED experience in complex orthopedic and general surgery, including bariatrics

• Teaching hospital experience required

• Prior travel experience preferred

• BLS certification required

• Epic experience preferred

• Ability to work variable shifts and take call required
