Role description: 
We’re looking for an experienced UX Manager to join our growing product design team in India. This is a hybrid role that combines individual design contribution (~60%) with team leadership and people management (~40%). You’ll be the day-to-day lead for our India-based UX team, ensuring high-quality design work while helping the team grow, thrive, and stay aligned with our broader strategic goals.

You’ll work closely with the Global UX Director to roll out our UX strategy in India, and act as a key bridge between UX, product management, business analysis, and technology. You’ll take a strategic, systems-level view of how user experience connects across products and workflows — ensuring design contributes to cohesive, scalable solutions that deliver business and user value.

Your work will span a suite of enterprise-grade digital products in the transportation and asset management space, with a strong focus on complex data, modelling workflows, and B2B user needs.

Role accountabilities:

• Contribute hands-on to product design — from research and ideation to detailed UX/UI design and delivery.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and feedback to the India-based UX team, helping individuals and the team grow.
• Work closely with the Global UX Director to implement strategy, processes, and design standards.
• Bring a systems-thinking approach — connecting insights, components, and patterns across products to drive consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, business, and tech partners to embed UX across the product lifecycle and influence product direction.
• Champion structured, evidence-based design practices (e.g., research, journey mapping, prototyping, validation).
• Evolve the design system and ensure coherent, scalable design across enterprise applications.
• Strengthen UX culture through design critiques, co-creation, and cross-team learning.
• Support hiring and onboarding as the local UX team expands.

Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years of UX or product design experience, with at least 2 years leading or mentoring teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Proven ability to balance hands-on design with leadership responsibilities.

Experience designing enterprise-level or data-intensive applications.

Strategic mindset — able to connect design outcomes to business and user impact.

Skilled systems-thinker who understands how design patterns and decisions scale across products.

Confident communicator and facilitator, able to influence across functions and levels.

Experience working with distributed, cross-regional teams and flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
