Role description:

Due to continued work and commencement of new projects, our Design and Engineering (Urban Development) division is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to help us ensure project delivery across a range of sectors on the Gold Coast.

Role accountabilities:

Providing quality delivery of the designs using 12D predominately, some Civil 3D experience will be of benefit;
Successfully manage, plan, resource and complete assigned modelling projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
Assisting the Project Manager in determining the drafting & other design resources required for a project plan including elements suitable for outsourcing;
Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
Resolving complex technical drafting and design issues; and
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with Project Managers, Design Engineers and drafters within other disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience:

Relevant Engineering degree and/ or certifications;
At least 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience in the application of 12D and Civil 3D software using your in-depth knowledge of civil design standards;
Experience using various software programs such as AutoCAD, and 12d Synergy.
Design knowledge in road design, earthworks (steep site experience valued) / grading design and utilities design (water, sewer, drainage).
Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how;
Ability to develop elements of design from concept sketches to detailed drawings; and
A high attention to details and ability to deliver quality output within the timeline.

Must have experience:

Experience working on Urban Development projects within Southeast Qld. or Northern NSW.
