Overview
The Part-Time Non-Licensed Service Consultant represents the Enterprise Engagement Center (EEC) and supports Gerber Life providing exceptional service to existing customers. Processes transactions and ensures customers' needs are met via inbound and outbound calls.
Schedules: We are currently looking for students who are available to work part-time, approximately 15 hours per week, preferably during the days of Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Responds to customer inquiries via inbound and outbound service telephone interactions to address a variety of customer inquiries which include, but are not limited to, processing payments, resolving billing issues, and policy change requests.
- Handles customer inquiries in a positive and professional manner consistent with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Acts as liaison between customers and internal departments.
- Required to utilize multiple administration systems to service clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications

- High School Diploma High school diploma or GED; actively enrolled in their respective secondary education institution (Required)
- Ability to consistently work scheduled shifts of 15-29 hours per week
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to easily shift based on business need as required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Keyboarding skills with attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to follow documented procedures and execute transactions according to steps identified with low need for assistance
- Ability to identify when documented procedures fail or produce unexpected results and escalate to supervisor accordingly.
- Proficient in outlook, word, excel, access database.
- Ability to obtain home state life & health insurance license (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED - (Required)
- Aptitude for customer service with the ability to discuss information in a customer-friendly manner. Preferred
- Process business transactions at conversational speed. Preferred
- Proven strong and accurate business English, verbal and written communication skills (grammar and spelling). Preferred
- Proven excellent listening skills. Preferred
- Proven ability to multitask in multiple systems. Preferred
- Demonstrated strong service acumen. Preferred
- Excellent PC, data entry & word processing software skills. Preferred
- Life and Health Insurance License in home state Able to obtain life & health insurance license after consistent service performance over a period of time. within 1-1/2 Yrs - (Required)
