About the Role

Overview

As a HSE Lead at Linesight, you’ll be part of a high-performing, culturally diverse team delivering one of Europe’s most ambitious data centre builds. You’ll work on a large-scale, high-voltage construction project where safety is paramount, and your expertise will directly shape the success and integrity of the build. The Opportunity

In this role you will: 

  • Lead the identification and management of high-risk activities across all project phases, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure proactive safety planning and coordination.
  • Champion the implementation and continuous improvement of risk control measures, ensuring they are effective, monitored, and embedded in daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting and communication structures to provide clear visibility of HSE performance across the project.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of site-level HSE planning through active engagement with contractors, workers, and supervisors.
  • Be a visible and proactive safety leader onsite — conducting audits, mentoring teams, and driving a culture of safety excellence.
  • Design and implement the project’s safety strategy and procedures, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all project partners.
  • Conduct independent audits across all construction activities, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
  • Ensure contractors establish and maintain outstanding safety practices and procedures, aligned with project and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and enhance health and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents, ensuring thorough evaluation and implementation of preventive measures.  

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • A minimum of 10 years of construction safety management experience in

    addition to relevant HSE team management experience, ideally within data centre, pharmaceutical or high-voltage infrastructure sectors.

  • 30 Hour training or local equivalent in Construction Industry Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA)

  • Management training and Incident investigation training

  • Strong track record in contractor management and stakeholder engagement, including design teams and project professionals.
  • Deep understanding of European HSE regulations and standards, with the ability to apply them in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to influence and lead across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for building strong relationships through openness, purpose, and shared achievement.
  • Legal right to work in the Netherlands and willingness to be based in or relocate to Groningen.
