  • Indicative salary ~ $77,502 PLUS $6,975 (9%) superannuation 

As a Recovery Partner at ACC, you will be responsible for partnering with clients and their family who require a one-to-one relationship due to their intensive or extensive needs for as long as they need it. 

Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role    

As a Recovery Partner you will be working with clients of all ages who have extensive physical injuries that will likely impact on their day-to-day activity for their lifetime. Some clients may have individual needs that require coordinated support from other agencies, and you will facilitate this planning. Should the client choose, you will manage all claims each client may have with ACC, which means that from time to time you may work with clients who have a mental injury due to sexual violence. 

With a disability lens, as a Recovery Partner you will work to ensure that each client is supported to live as independently as possible by assessing holistic support needs during their rehabilitation and adjusting to a lifetime disability.  

The right mix of communication, planning and adaptability supports the best outcomes for your client while building confidence and trust. What happens each day varies based on what each client needs to help them recover or adjust to a ‘new normal’ in their life

The indicative starting salary for this role will be $77,502. This is exclusive of ACC's 9% superannuation contribution which would bring the total starting package to $84,477

You may have worked as a case manager or have a health or disability background and looking for your next opportunity. Your ability to partner with recovering clients and their whanau, support people and providers in a holistic way, be that by phone, email or face to face, will enable your clients to make meaningful progress towards their goals and outcomes.

  • Proven ability to understand complex customer needs and apply critical thinking within a multifaceted environment. 
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including family, suppliers and community agencies to ensure a solution focused and coordinated approach and consistency in service. 
  • Personal resilience and ability to deal with challenging information and situations. 
  • Ability to build rapport and trust and successfully motivate, negotiate, and influence outcomes. 
  • A team player who works well in a busy environment. 
  • Strong planning, organisational and computer literacy skills. 
  • Previous experience in case management and or disability is advantageous.  
  • A current full Drivers Licence
