Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity 

We are seeking a Safety Camera System Integrity Lead to establish and implement a Quality Management approach for NZTA’s Safety Camera system. This is a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver operational efficiency, manage risk, and ensure system integrity across our safety camera operations. 

You will lead the development of a Quality Assurance Framework and Quality Management System (QMS) that embeds quality principles into decision-making and operational processes.

Safety cameras are a critical part of our road safety strategy. By embedding a robust QMS, you will help ensure the integrity and effectiveness of this system, ultimately contributing to safer roads for all New Zealanders 

 

The key responsibilities of the role will see you: 

  • Design and implement a QMS tailored for the Safety Camera system. 

  • Oversee system integrity across network, technology, processing, and customer operations. 

  • Define clear roles and responsibilities for quality assurance and operational efficiency. 

  • Drive performance monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. 

  • Engage stakeholders through deliberate communication and change management.

To be successful in this role, you must-have: 

  • Strong experience in developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks. 

  • Proven success in implementing quality management systems within complex environments. 

  • Ability to operationalise strategic considerations and manage performance frameworks. 

  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing senior leaders. 

  • Strategic thinker with a systems approach to resolving complex issues. 

 

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
