About the Role

Do you have what it takes to become our next Project Logistics Coordinator? We are now looking for a person with a positive drive to join our Tampere Supply Center!

Valmet’s Tampere Supply Center is an organization of about 90 people serving global deliveries of Automation Products. As a Project Logistics Coordinator, you have the responsibility of manufacturing, purchasing and logistics coordination of global delivery projects. You work in close co-operation with the delivery project team and supply center parties to achieve on time delivery.

Your main responsibility is to coordinate supply center activities in projects. You follow the schedule and scope, coordinate the project purchasing, manufacturing and logistics and act as an interface between delivery project and supply chain.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Suitable educational background (B.Sc. or equivalent in for example economics or technical field).

  • Experience in working in a project environment and know your way from a project plan to a more detailed logistics schedule

  • Ability to maintain efficiency under pressure in a multi-project environment, along with strong time management and organizing skills.

  • An analytical mind with practical and very hands-on attitude

  • You are efficient with different IT tools

  • Fluent written and spoken communication in Finnish and English.

You enjoy making things happen and solving problems, and while aiming to prevent them, you are not afraid to make prompt decisions even when time is limited. In this position, you will work across functions and communicate with people of many levels in the organization. Thus, strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy are a must for delivering results: you should be able to defend your opinion and influence others, in a co-operative way.
