We are excited to engage with an experienced quality professional to assist us in elevating our quality practices across Australia within our broader supply chain team.
This role is responsible for the ownership of the Quality Management Systems nationally and will be responsible for and lead the national quality team and be instrumental in leading improvements in business culture and communication, ensuring that the business is aware of critical quality issues and improvements. As well as this, this person will engage thoughtfully with key stakeholders across the business to determine root causes for complicated customer issues in a timely manner.
On a broader scale, this role is a key stakeholder and contributor to the divisional quality team and is responsible for ensuring our national business adheres with Weir divisional policies and processes for quality management. This is a role with a large degree of variety - various challenges, engaging with all functions across the business, and the opportunity to support the business through the ISO re-certification process in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the organization’s quality vision, strategy, and objectives.
Lead and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of quality and compliance across the manufacturing, distribution and service centres in Australia.
Drive high standards of quality management, including collaborating on supplier quality management to ensure consistent quality in delivered goods and services to requirements.
Develop and implement the organization’s quality vision, strategy, and objectives.
Maintain product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and legal and regulatory requirements and ensure adherence and governance to industry standards.
Drive process optimization to reduce defects and improve efficiency, overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities and managing product quality documentation system.
Report quality trends and compliance status to senior leadership.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's qualification in relevant field (Science, Quality Management, Engineering).
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in quality management within Manufacturing.
Proven track record in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Strong background in regulatory compliance and audit management, including experience in the ISO re-certification process.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing quality teams and driving cultural change.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple geographies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Formal lean certification is desirable, but not essential.
