About the Role

Nature and Scope

Plumas District Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and provide Physical Therapy services for patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $55.51 – $79.14 (based on experience; 13-step clinical scale up to 30 years)
  • Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
  • Part-Time Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Job Status / Shift Information

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • May work across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing departments based on patient needs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Active California Physical Therapy License (in good standing)
  • Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Compliance with all California and federal PT regulatory requirements

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
