The Opportunity

Bluescope Building Components is looking for an Operations Loader to join the team based in Novar Gardens SA. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

Our team members play a vital role in our production environment. They operate machinery to create smarter solutions for our customers, while monitoring product quality, remaining committed to their safety and that of the team.

Working Sunday to Thursday (10.30pm to 6.30am) you will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our technician role allowing for future career development opportunities. We also offer a discretionary performance bonus paid on a quarterly basis!

What Will You Do?

As someone who is committed to the safety of their team and delivering on customer expectations you will be:

• safely unloading inbound trucks and loading outbound trucks
• operating forklifts and other plant equipment safely and efficiently
• assisting operators in other locations including rollforming
• assisting with general warehouse duties to maintain a clean and organised workspace
• conducting routine safety and equipment checks before and after use

More About You

As someone who enjoys working in a physically active role and as part of a team, and is keen to pursue a career in an operations environment, you will bring:

• a current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
• effective communication skills, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• high level of attention to detail
• ability to think on your feet providing safe and workable solutions
