About the Role

The Role:

As a Senior Associate – Data Quality Risk & Control, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Investment Management Non-Financial Risk (NFR) framework by driving the implementation of our Data Quality strategy. This position offers the opportunity to influence how critical data supports regulatory, client, and business outcomes.

You will own the day-to-day execution of the Data Quality risk reduction roadmap, ensuring that data integrity and governance standards are embedded across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and prioritise data quality issues: Catalogue issues, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to guide remediation efforts.
  • Define and implement data quality controls: Assess end-to-end data flows, determine control requirements for critical deliverables and use cases, and ensure alignment across systems.
  • Support strategic programmes: Contribute to the Prioritised Data Initiative and other firmwide data quality enhancements.
  • Strengthen governance and transparency: Maintain metadata in Collibra, manage annual reviews of catalogued issues and controls, and ensure accurate lineage and ownership mapping.
  • Deliver metrics and reporting: Produce dashboards, progress updates, and governance materials for IM and Firmwide Data Quality Committees, enabling informed decision-making.

This role combines technical data expertise, risk management acumen, and stakeholder engagement, offering visibility across Investment Management and the broader enterprise.

Skills Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in data governance or data quality risk management within financial services
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Data, or Technology field (or a combination of business and technical background)
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of data flow, lineage, and control concepts
  • Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and issue management, including remediation planning and control oversight
  • Hands-on experience in data analysis and report building using Excel and Power BI (SQL or similar tools a plus)
  • Proven ability to design and interpret metrics, dashboards, and scorecards for risk and data quality monitoring
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of prioritising multiple projects and managing risk effectively
  • Ownership mindset and ability to challenge assumptions constructively; highly motivated and self-starter attitude
  • Sound judgement with capability to escalate risks and issues promptly and appropriately
  • Strong relationship management skills to coordinate across Business, Technology, and Risk functions
  • Team player who is results-oriented, proactive, and able to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present ideas and project status clearly to stakeholders
  • Robust problem-solving skills and strong work ethic, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
