Description
The Host collaborates with the Service team to ensure member satisfaction, creating a firendly, courteous, and memorable dining experience for homeowners and guests. This individual is responsible for promptly seating homeowners with a smile and assisting with service needs as they arise.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities
The essential roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Approach all encounters with members, guests, vendors and team members with a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a welcoming tone.
- Ensure a clean and premium approach to members and guests- ensuring all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and that the foyer areas are free from debris or clutter, preventing any safety or tripping hazards.
- Consistently scan the working areas to identify potential safety hazards- cleaning up any spills, removing any tripping hazards and placing any signage out when necessary (i.e., wet floor signs).
- Maintain an open line of communication with the Managers on shift as well as the Service staff to discuss reservations, large dining parties, and changes to the dining layout.
- Document service tickets with all needed information, including but not limiting to, the server's name, member number, member name, number of individuals within the party, the time of reservation, and the table number.
- Greet members and guests with a smile and escort them to their table, pulling out the seats for the ladies within the party- present their menues, introduce their server and ensure a warm hand-off to the server.
- Wish a farewell to the members and guests once their service has been completed- saying goodbye to the members by name and inquiring about their level of service- notifying a Manager immediately if there were any issues to note.
Requirements
Physical & Mental Demands
- Must be able to stand for longer than eight (8) hours
- Must be able to move fifty (50) pounds on an intermittent basis.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch and squat.
- Must be able to speak, hear and see.
Working Availability
Must be able to work all shifts- weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Knowledge in handling food and food safety.
- Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English
- Eligibility to work int he United States.
This position will be subject to pre-employment drug-testing and a criminal history background check.
