Description
- Title: Fab Tech – Stud Welder
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Pay Rate: $25/hour
The duties listed below are intended as a guide for the employee in this position. They are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be required during the course of employment.
LICENSES:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Welding Certification (TBD)
ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a steel fabrication environment, both internally and externally
- Position is exposed to multiple climate conditions
- PPE required: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hearing protection (designated areas)
SKILLS:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines for work completion
- Ability to assume responsibility for all required documentation
- Ability to train customers on the stud welding process including setup, production, and quality control
- Strong reading skills
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and calipers proficiently
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to make sound judgments
- Ability to interpret orders, forms, prints, and documents, and take appropriate action
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver, set up, and operate multiple types of stud welding machines
- Troubleshoot and repair stud welding equipment for TSA Manufacturing and customer locations
- Provide preventative maintenance to the assigned customer list on a routine basis
- Identify sales opportunities through L.A.E.R. (Listen, Acknowledge, Explore, Respond)
- Maintain records of customer site visits and report information back to management via call report summaries
- Assist the Fabrication Department as directed by management
- Accurately complete Quality Traceability Cards and Material Exchange Sheets
- Maintain and keep track of all required hand tools
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and adjustments as required
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Assist other workers with production-related tasks as assigned
- Safely move materials using powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
- Ensure guards are returned to their intended positions after cleaning and maintenance
- Consistently arrive at work on time and remain engaged throughout the entire scheduled shift

- Maintains acceptable attendance with minimal tardiness
- Demonstrates team-player efforts with coworkers and management
- All forms and paperwork are properly completed and maintained
- Follows all company standard policies and procedures with minimal deviation
