Description
As a Ranger Supervisor, you will assist and oversee the Rangers to ensure a smooth operation of the site set-up process for arriving and departing guests.
This is a seasonal position from May - October.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Coordinate team selection and development and ensure team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures
- Check transient sites for daily departures
- Handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns, or refers them to the appropriate department
- Treat sites for fire ant infestation as requested and as a normal procedure when spotting units on-site
- Ensure trash is removed from recently vacated transient sites
- Inspect tied-down RVs and manufactures homes for cleanliness, rust, damage, and other problems prior to permitting their sale
- Answer questions concerning resort amenities, nearby attractions, stores, etc.
- Assist with leading guests' RVs to sites and site set-up as needed
- Record all calls for service on daily log sheets
- Provide guests with accessibility by patrolling the resort frequently and assisting them when needed
- Tag vehicles for removal by owner at unrented transient sites
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance of golf carts or other resort equipment with the Maintenance department
Job Qualifications:
- 6 months previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
- Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
- Ability to provide legible written reports

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
