HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.
Pediatric Floor Nurse (LPN) Summary:
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Floor Nurse (LPN) that enjoys working with culturally diverse children and families in providing comprehensive patient care. Under the direction of the Medical Floor Manager, the Floor LPN will be responsible for rooming patients both in person and virtually, vital sign assessment, point of care testing; patient assessment and advisement to provider of any abnormal findings; triage; communication with patients via telephone, conveying results and messages, assisting with prior authorizations; prescription refills; ensure labs, test results and hospital records are accessible to the provider; and ensure patient encounter and procedures performed are documented accurately in the EMR, and assist primary care provider in all aspects of patient care including examinations and procedures.
Schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 7:30am – 6:00pm; Thurs: OFF
Rotating Saturdays 9:00am – 1:00pm
Pay Range: $31.00 – $37.50 per hour*
*The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.
Benefits:

Required Qualifications:
- License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- 2+ years of experience as an LPN in a Community Health Center is a strong plus.
- Current certification in BLS/CPR.
- Bi-lingual/tri-lingual skills preferred (English, Spanish, and Portuguese).
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required.
- Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information

- The Pediatric Floor Nurse (LPN) must have a high level of customer service and a positive approach to work with patients. Projects positive attitude about the department and the health center, and offers services to ensure positive experience.
- Ability to maintain an organized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills to effectively communicate with patient.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
