The Communication & Outreach Assistant plays a key role in supporting Heritage Health's marketing and community engagement efforts. engagement initiatives, manages promotional materials, and assists with donor and engagement platforms. The position is dynamic and adaptable, with responsibilities assigned as organizational needs evolve.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience in marketing, communications, or administrative support, preferably in healthcare or non-profit settings
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and working with external vendors
Your Essential Duties:
- Support digital marketing efforts by assisting with content creation, website SEO optimization, and social media account management.
- Monitor campaign performance, timelines, and deliverables; assist with reporting and recommendations
- Support event planning and execution, including community outreach events, health fairs, and internal initiatives
- Manage promotional inventory, including ordering, tracking, storage, and distribution of marketing materials
- Support EEC activities, including coordination, documentation, and follow-up tasks
- Manage and maintain donor platform and EEC-related systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Assist with content coordination for marketing materials, social media, email campaigns, and website updates as needed
- Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team, including tasks delegated as needed
- Ensure marketing activities align with the mission, values, and compliance requirements of Heritage Health
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Your Success Factors:
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles, including digital and community-based outreach
- Understanding of outsourced digital marketing campaigns and vendor coordination
- Skill in organizing and supporting events, outreach activities, and engagement initiatives
- Ability to manage promotional inventory and track materials efficiently
- Skill in using donor platforms, CRM systems, or engagement databases
- Ability to support EEC-related activities, documentation, and coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and adapt to changing needs
- Skill in using common office and marketing software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email platforms)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners
Job Overview:
Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in a typical interior, office work environment in an administrative building. Work may be demanding and chaotic at times. May be exposed to patient population that will present a variety of contagious diseases, physical injuries and emotional states of
mind.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
