The Role

Our Account Manager plays a critical role in driving market performance and supporting independent automotive dealers. This position serves as the primary connection between AXLE Funding, dealer partners, auction staff, and internal branch teams.
This is a multi dimensional role that combines sales, dealer relationship management, collections, compliance oversight, and day to day operational execution. You will own your market, manage dealer performance, and ensure a high level of service and accountability across all touchpoints. This role is primarily field based, with regular time spent at the local branch office and weekly auction attendance.


Key Responsibilities


Dealer Relationship Management and Business Growth

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with current and prospective dealers through consistent field visits, calls, texts, and auction engagement
  • Support dealer growth by clearly communicating policies, procedures, and AXLE Funding product offerings
  • Present AXLE Funding floorplan products and services to prospective dealers and guide them through the onboarding process
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to dealers by understanding their business needs and providing responsive support

Portfolio Performance, Collections, and Compliance

  • Monitor dealer account performance, utilization, and aging to identify potential risk or delinquency
  • Proactively address collection and compliance concerns to protect portfolio health and market performance
  • Execute contracts, term sheets, and onboarding documentation while ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure all dealer interactions and account activity are properly documented in CRM and internal systems

Branch and Auction Partnership

  • Work closely with branch staff to support daily operational needs and deliver a consistent dealer experience
  • Maintain strong working relationships with auction staff to support operational success and market visibility
  • Participate in regional promotions, market initiatives, and company events as needed
  • Represent AXLE Funding professionally and consistently in all dealer and auction interactions

  • Dealers view you as a trusted partner who is responsive, knowledgeable, and consistent
  • Your assigned market demonstrates strong utilization, controlled delinquency, and healthy portfolio performance
  • Dealer issues are identified early and addressed proactively
  • Branch and auction partners experience clear communication and strong collaboration
  • Your market operates efficiently with minimal surprises and strong compliance practices

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in automotive, finance, floorplan lending, dealership operations, insurance, warranty sales, or   other client facing automotive related industries
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage collections, compliance responsibilities, and customer relationships simultaneously
  • Highly organized, self directed, and accountable
  • Comfort working independently in a field based environment while collaborating with branch teams
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and standard business technology
  • Must be or willing to become a licensed state Notary
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
