Oral and Facial Surgery of the Shoals is proud to have four outstanding oral surgeons that proudly serve the Shoals area. Dr. McIlwain, Dr. Nester, Dr. Frederick, and Dr. Morris perform a variety of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeries ranging from trauma to cosmetic procedures. We are proud to serve patients at our Sheffield (256-383-1499) and Florence (256-712-5096) offices Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor during a variety of endodontic procedures. 
  • Greet and accompany patients for treatment to ensure their comfort.
  • Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Capture dental X-rays and other scans as needed.
  • Enter and complete patient chart notes and documentation.
  • Performing office administrative tasks that require the use of a computer.  

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Dental Assistant experience is highly preferred.
  • RDA or CDA preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
