Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.


Position Overview 

Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)   

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer supports development, assembly, and testing of Hoist & Winch products. This position will primarily be responsible for establishing a new assembly and test line for the Pegasus® Next Generation Hoist. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also support legacy product line operations and improvements.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and implement the Manufacturing, Transition, and Build Plan for New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Coordinate with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and shared services teams on NPI
  • Design and implement tooling and test equipment, physical layouts and workflows
  • Create assembly planning, work instructions and assembly aids
  • Identify and mitigate products and process risk using tools such as DFMEA and PFMEA
  • Engage with factory area leads to address systemic issues and provide root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework
  • Ensure quality, cost, schedule, and inventory goals are achieved in a manner consistent with the overall business plan.


Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience with New Product Introduction for regulated products
  • Experience with interpretation of technical documentation (e.g. Engineering drawings and specifications)
  • Aerospace Engineering experience
  • Experience leading the ME aspects of an Aerospace New Product Introduction
  • Program/Project management experience.
  • Experience with a shop floor management system (e.g. SAP, IFS, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
