Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts orientation and training of new staff.
  • Participates and conducts cleaning inspections.
  • Assist or lead departmental projects as needed.
  • May assume charge role in the absence of the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Cleans and maintains various floors surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate etc.
  • Performs floor care using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manual operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing of floors.
  • Apply wax and other floor care products under the guidance of EVS Leadership.
  • Cleans, polishes furniture/fixtures in assigned areas and arranges furniture and/or equipment as directed. Dispose of biochemical waste in accordance with policy and procedures. 
  • Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops, and/or wet mops.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive environmental services or custodial experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50-75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
