Position Purpose:

To lead students toward a deeper knowledge of God and His truth by teaching with excellence, integrating a biblical worldview, and fostering a Christ-centered learning environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesProfessionalism
  • Models commitment to CPA’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Maintains professionalism in all communication and relationships.
  • Participates actively in PLCs and school activities.
  • Contributes to school life (coaching, mentoring, discipleship, clubs, etc.).
  • Engages in continuous professional growth.
Planning & Instructional Design
  • Designs instruction with clear learning goals and aligned assessments.
  • Creates meaningful, differentiated learning experiences.
  • Maintains updated unit plans; collaborates with Learning Services.
  • Organizes classroom environment to support learning.
  • Follows school systems and procedures 
Classroom Management & Teaching Practice
  • Integrates a biblically faithful Christian worldview.
  • Uses engaging instructional strategies and appropriate technology.
  • Establishes and upholds consistent behavioral expectations.
  • Builds positive relationships and a supportive classroom climate.
  • Maximizes learning time with clear instruction and smooth transitions.
  • Implements schoolwide behavioral systems consistently.
  • Uses data to guide instruction and provide support.
Assessment, Feedback & Student Support
  • Communicates clear criteria for proficiency and gives timely feedback.
  • Uses varied assessments to monitor learning progress.
  • Analyzes data to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Partners with Learning Services and provides targeted student support.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
  • Teaching experience strongly valued.
  • Willingness to share Christian testimony and disciple students.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective time management and multitasking.
  • Proficiency with required CPA technology platforms.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergencies; lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequent ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
