Departmental Overview: The retail department includes 3 independent retail locations and an art gallery within the museum building, with a total of 8,800 square feet of selling space. E-commerce, wholesale and product development are key of the business. The department generates revenue through the sales of goods that provides vital operating revenue for the museum. 

Position Overview: The Store Stock Associate is primarily responsible for maintaining store stock levels, ensuring proper storage of goods and distribution to stores. 

Specific Job Duties: 

  • Protect the security of inventory, and other assets according to company guidelines and directives.
  • Consistently achieve productivity standards set for replenishment of goods in store.
  • Maintain stockrooms to support efficient and effective handling and placement of merchandise, visual props, and fixtures in order to maximize sales and productivity.
  • Partner with Store management to ensure all aspects of replenishment are properly executed to fill the floor. 
  • Ensure all goods are properly priced and ticketed before placing them on the salesfloor.
  • Develop a vast range of product knowledge.
  • Engage in, maintain, and support safety standards on sales floor and in the stockroom.
  • Be aware of and follow Loss Prevention policies; advise management of any unusual internal or external activity.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise and its vendors.
  • Participate in physical inventory and maintain proper inventory control.
  • Establish a working relationship with all fellow store staff to support company initiatives and objectives.
  • Bring positive recognition to CMHOF’s brand through professionalism, positive attitude, and effective communication.
  • Represent CMHOF’s core values, emphasizing a positive work environment that is fun and unique.
  • Ability to perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by Store management without hesitation.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School graduate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail receiving experience
  • Knowledge of retail inventory control processes
  • Knowledge of Counterpoint sales system
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
