Job Description: Responsible for seaming pre-cut patterns together, following precise instructions. Must be able to sew pre-sewn pieces together to form a complete part.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to use and maintain a high-speed, walking foot sewing machine.
- Must be able to communicate with managers and leads effectively.
- Must have good hand-eye –coordination.
- Must be able to trim finished seams when necessary.
- Must be able to use scissors.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Follow instructions of the Supervisor/foreman/lead.
- Work with a team to complete projects
- Inspects all parts to be complete and up to quality standards.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an industrial sewer or as an upholsterer.
Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to:
- Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses
- Industrial sewing machine and scissors.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed.
- Be able to sit for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, a normal office environment or a factory environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment.
Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory, including but not limited to safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.
Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
