Maintenance Assistant

For more than 130 years, Mason Wright Senior Living has been a warm, vibrant home for seniors in our community. We’re looking for a hands-on, can-do Maintenance Assistant to help keep our campus safe, comfortable, and looking its best for the residents who depend on us every day.  If you take pride in your work, enjoy variety in your day, and like being part of a team that truly makes a difference—this could be the perfect fit!

What You’ll Do

Working with our Maintenance Director, you’ll help care for every corner of our community—inside and out. No two days are the same!

· Keep building systems running smoothly and safely

· Handle general repairs, painting, and preventative maintenance

· Help maintain the appearance of common areas and grounds

· Pitch in with light housekeeping when needed (bathrooms, windows, vacuuming, etc.)

· Follow cleaning and maintenance schedules with minimal supervision

· Tackle special projects and other duties as they come up

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience with solid references  
• Experienced painter – this is a must  
• HVAC knowledge is a plus 
• Familiar with carpet extraction, VCT floor care, and general building upkeep 
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and handle physically active work  
• Friendly, dependable, organized, and a true team player  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently  
• High school diploma or GED
• You’ll need to be comfortable walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, working overhead, and accessing all areas of the property—including roofs and mechanical spaces.
