Job Brief:

• Position Title: Process Transformation Developer (Automation and AI)


• Job type: Full Time, 38 hours/week


• Base Salary will start at: $100,000 + superannuation


• Location: Sydney


• Reporting To: Head of Automation and AI

As a Process Transformation Developer, you will help organisations create time, lower cost and eliminate risk by providing expert process analysis, requirements gathering, and solutions to eliminate wasted time and effort by leveraging cutting edge technologies such as AI Agents, Agentic AI, Automation. You will work on multiple client engagements and with different internal and external stakeholders.

We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused candidate who is experienced in scoping and supporting the full lifecycle of process transformation projects, including business process analysis, documentation, solution design support, and centre of excellence best practices.

The role requires experience working with and a strong understanding of relevant development and automation technologies, including .NET and .NET Core, SQL, Python, and REST APIs, as well as process automation and AI platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Co-Pilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Tungsten Invoice Agility, UiPath, and Automation Anywhere.

The ideal candidate will have very strong people skills to support the ability to engage with clients on a technical and business level, analyse and gather requirements and build strong relationships and farm for new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, design and document processes as per best practices.


• Consult directly with Client stakeholders


• Provide process transformation advice based on scientific forensic analysis of the process transformation benefits and value and security.


• Create Time by designing and developing solutions using AI, Automation platforms and developer tools in accordance with requirements for Private and Australian government entities.


• Architect security compliant and highly performant transformation solutions with attention to mitigate risk against threats and ensure security compliance (ISO 27001, data encryption and decryption, automation queues, AI security best practices)


• Analyse requirements and provide process transformation advice.


• Provide advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for process transformation, provide return on investment advice.


• Assist with project estimation based on documented requirements.


• Architect security compliant and highly performant transformation solutions with attention to mitigate risk against threats and ensure security compliance (ISO 27001, data encryption and decryption, automation queues, AI security best practices)


• Provide 1st and 2nd level support at an enterprise ITEL standard.


• Create Time by designing and developing solutions using AI, Automation platforms and developer tools in accordance with requirements for Private and Australian government entities.


• Setup and co-ordinate project sprint plans and kanban boards to deliver projects using agile project delivery methodologies.


• Responsible for customer satisfaction and effective project delivery by ensuring that Definiti’s Software development methodologies are followed and documented as best practice (including test plans and release management)


• Responsible for creating User Training and Business As usual operational documentation to support the production deployment of automations.


• Write and maintain program code to meet system requirements.


• Enforce Automate best practice by ensuring that all automation projects are documented in Process Document (PDD) format. This ensures that all variations and exceptions are handled effectively. (A PDD covers the end to end modelling of an automation and includes the following key elements: Process Definition, Process User Stories, Process Steps, Process Maps, Master and Sub Process Mapping, Time and Motion Analysis, Exception handling, benefits Survey, Integration requirements, Automation Outputs and Test cases.)


• Play an instrumental role in the functioning of an AI and Automation Centre of Excellence.


• Enforce compliance with product and solution lifecycle governance models.

Skills Required:

Shortlist pre-requisites

• Strong people / client facing skills and experience.


• Experience (4+ years) in development


• Experience (4+ years) in Transformation and Automation technologies (AA, UiPath, Microsoft)


• Experience (4+ years) experience in AI technologies (Microsoft, Python)


• Experience with database development and design.


• Demonstrate the ability to implement security governance throughout the solution


• Experience in working with enterprise level support teams and meeting support process expectations


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• A degree in IT (Computer Science / Software Engineering).


• RPA Certifications


• Compliance with Australian Government security check requirements
