Our Food Service Team Members perform a variety of duties in our front of house, back of house, dish room, outlets, and storeroom as needed. While you’ll support all areas of our food service operation, your primary responsibility will be in the dish room—ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized. Team Members must be available for nights and weekends, including holidays.
We host thousands of guests each year and generally provide them with three meals a day during their stay. You will help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive at the cafeteria to the moment they leave. You will be instrumental in shaping the overall guest experience by providing exceptional customer service, assisting in food preparations, supporting meal service, and keeping our kitchen and dish areas running smoothly. This position is seasonal and is expected to last through November 1st, 2026.
Energetic Team - Scheduling Flexibility - Must be able to work weekends and most holidays.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations, dining room, and kitchen areas
- Follow Health and Safety Guidelines and Food Preparation Guidelines
- Responsible for cleaning, stacking and drying pots, pans, kettles, and utensils used by the culinary staff
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, and sanitizing
- Regularly check and refill dishwashing chemicals, and monitor water temperatures to meet sanitation standards
- Ensure clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly stored and easily accessible for staff use
- Complete other assignments as the Shift Leader and/or Supervisor may deem necessary
- Empty trash bins and ensure trash is properly disposed of according to regulations
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure that dishes are delivered quickly to the front-of-house team
Requirements
- No prior experience required; we provide training on all tasks and responsibilities.
- Reliable form of transportation
- Ability to work weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma (preferred)
- Cafeteria, catering, or quick service experience (2 years preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Comfortable working around food, cleaning products, and kitchen machinery.
- Interact positively with other team members and guests
- Willing to learn and work in different areas of the Food Service team
- Must be flexible, dependable, and organized
- Able to perform duties in a manner reflecting good stewardship of time and resources
- Able to work in a high-volume setting with the goals of accuracy, speed of service, and food safety
