Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, AL that implements the most relevant digital solutions to transform, optimize and secure plant supply chains, manage and oversee inventories, control all logistical flows and meet the current and future challenges of its customers. We are looking for skilled Material Handler to assist with this client's production needs. 


The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and delivery of materials, components, and products to support customer manufacturing and assembly operations.


Essential Functions:

  • Load and unload goods and products
  • Load packages and move them to the shipping, storage or production area
  • Store products or goods by validity date and storage conditions
  • Conduct an inventory
  • Identify the characteristics of goods
  • Operate machinery requiring a permit (forklift truck, trailer tugs, gantry cranes, etc.)
  • Check the operating and safety status of the production facilities and equipment
  • List and report any faults detected to your line manager
  • Keep working areas clean and tidy, and take care of the equipment provided to ensure that the working environment remains safe

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations (aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
