Description
Teller County's Public Works Department is seeking a Facilities Clerk/Admin to perform the tracking and accounting of the supplies and inventory associated with Facilities. Ensures and adequate inventory of supplies and parts are on hand to maintain departmental operations. Will be responsible for inventory management and storage areas as well as perform general administrative tasks as directed. Performs administrative field work, related to buildings as directed.
What You'll Do:
(1) Under General Supervision, maintain a parts and supplies inventory for facilities to include quotes, ordering delivery and tracking of supplies and on-hand inventory.
(2) Operate various computer and inventory/asset control software and systems.
(3) Responsible for delivering and picking up parts, equipment and supplies as needed.
(4) Assist with bids, quotes and contracts related to facilities. Manage annual contracts for life safety inspections by outside contractors as assigned.
(5) Track and code invoices for payment
(6) Maintain inventory; conducts cycle counts and annual inventory reporting.
(7) Maintain a safe and organized work and storage area.
(8) Assist with other public works department related administrative functions such as billing, AP coding and processing, AR, and payroll.
Requirements

Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- One (1) year of relevant work experience;
- Any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
You Also Have:
Knowledge of: Supplies management and ordering and warehousing; general understanding of facilities and buildings and grounds.
Skilled in: Organization; planning and estimating parts needs within the scope of assigned duties and responsibilities; time management; attention to detail; pride in workmanship.
Ability to: Demonstrate aptitude related to buildings systems and workflow; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; semi-independently analyze, prioritize and coordinate a variety of daily parts requests; meet established deadlines; learn and safely use delivery vehicles and establish and maintain effective work relationships with co-workers and the customer base; perform all work and functions in a safe, conscientious manner
Additional Details About the Role:
Visual Acuity/Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to write and read; able to hear and see to inspect mechanical equipment.
Physical Effort/Dexterity: Manual dexterity; ability to lift and carry 30 pounds; ability to drive a car or pickup as well as various equipment primarily in an office environment.
Environmental Factors: Work is generally performed indoors but may require exposure to adverse conditions including, but not limited to, dirt, noise and extreme weather conditions; working around moving machinery; slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
Work Schedule/Characteristics: 40 hours per week.
License/Certification Requirements: Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license; must complete NIMS certification 100, 700 and 800 within six months of employment. Must complete CPR/First Aid as scheduled and annually.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work in inclement weather. Will be exposed to cold weather and extreme cold weather at times.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $22.00 - $23.10
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, hourly
