We're seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive work environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.


Responsibilities


Employee Relations & Performance Management:

  • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide feedback to enhance performance management processes
  • Handle HR investigations and disciplinary actions with professionalism and discretion
  • Support management in developing and retaining talent

Compliance & Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support the development of HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with management on contract negotiations and compliance with labor laws
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records

Benefits & Leave Administration:

  • Oversee benefits administration and enrollment processes
  • Manage unemployment claims, workers' compensation, and leave administration
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture
  • Utilize HR software tools like Paylocity for recruitment processes and maintaining employee records
  • Support recruitment efforts and collaborate with hiring managers

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in human resources roles with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with HR software systems such as Paylocity, Paychex, or Paycom is highly desirable
  • Automotive dealership HR experience
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
