Position Overview
The Warehouse & Receiving Lead is a full time role in our Oakland Warehouse. They will be responsible for receiving, organizing, packing out and maintaining cleanliness and order of all inventory for the Snacks & Drinks team. The role is responsible for both physical and system inventory accuracy, shrink percent, fill rates, supporting overall budgetary goals and client happiness scores.
This role will also support and work collaboratively with all our BoH kitchen receiving, and ensure any products received are accounted for and stored properly, as well as prompt notification to the Chefs and BoH team of receipt and any discrepancies, etc.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Primary receiver for all incoming deliveries. Follow all receiving procedures to properly log and stow inventory in the correct locations.
- Work with the manager to coordinate vendor communication and product sourcing.
- Assist in ordering of inventory, processing invoices, and customer orders.
- Assist in managing inventory systems including inputting new products, updating pricing, product information and warehouse location.
- Flag and escalate any inventory issues during receiving to the appropriate person/team.
- Review Slack channels, emails, and other channels actively throughout the day and respond to any questions from teams about inventory.
- Accountable for order fulfillment accuracy and fill rate. Complete pick and pack for accounts daily ensuring quality and accuracy. Log and report any discrepancies. Work with manager to prevent out of stocks.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory of all products in the warehouse following all food safety and FIFO guidelines.
- Cycle counting of all warehouse inventory dry goods, perishables, compostables and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse at all times. Participate in warehouse cleaning and sanitation including sweeping/mopping, sanitization, trash and recycle.
- Code and Input all invoices accurately into the appropriate spreadsheets and inventory systems.
- Comfortable to pick up and deliver products using a company sprinter van as needed between locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a warehouse environment in receiving or inventory management and, preferably working with food products.
- 1+ years directly working with IMS and WMS systems to manage inventory
- Ability to maintain and account for a large and diverse inventory of products.
- Knowledge of fresh foods including produce and raw ingredients a plus
- Attendance and punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by needs
- Experience with stocking and merchandising (FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION NOT REQUIRED.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, communication and patience
- Flexibility in the moment to support operations when and where and when needed
- Ability to be a self-sufficient problem solver and make sound decisions on-the-fly
- Basic CA Food Handler Certification
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation
- Smart Phone Mobile device required for daily communications
- Basic understanding of workplace communication tools (such as Slack a plus!)
- Basic understanding of online inventory systems (such as Fishbowl a plus!)
- Ability to work in cold storage throughout the day for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up at least 50 pounds, repetitively throughout an 8hr shift.
- Valid CA Driver License with a clean driving record will be required to drive company vehicles
Schedule & Expectations
Typical schedules are Monday through Friday with hours dependent on the service. You are responsible for managing your schedule, based on your shift availability, with your supervisor.
Shift details: Schedule is typically Monday - Friday, from 4am-12:30pm or 5am - 1:30pm. However, some flexibility with start/end times is required as well as some weekend availability as needed.
