Westcliff University seeks a Military Outreach Advisor to develop partnerships with military and veteran communities, colleges, and nonprofits to drive enrollment. The advisor will execute outreach activities locally and nationally, deliver presentations, manage recruitment leads, and collaborate internally to support military-affiliated student enrollment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  •     Partnership and Outreach: Establish partnerships with military installations, community colleges, and nonprofits. Represent the university at local and national events, job fairs, and conferences. Conduct in-person and virtual outreach presentations to prospective students.
  •     Lead Management: Proactively engage with recruitment leads, providing personalized support throughout the outreach process. Maintain accurate records using the university’s CRM.
  •     Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with admissions and marketing teams on outreach strategies, campaigns, and messaging. Regularly report outcomes and recommend improvements based on enrollment trends.
  •     Compliance: Ensure adherence to university policies, ethical standards, and procedures. Maintain current knowledge of military education benefits (e.g., GI Bill®/DOD) and transfer policies, recommending process enhancements as needed.



Minimum Qualifications:


  •     Bachelor's degree OR two years' experience in military/veteran advising, recruitment, or support roles.
  •     Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for required travel.
  •     Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  •     Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  •     Proficiency in Google Suites and CRM software.
  •     Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  •     Willingness to travel and attend events, including evenings/weekends.


Preferred Qualifications:


  •     Veteran or significant military-connected experience (e.g., spouse, dependent).
  •     Familiarity with higher education and adult learner needs.   
  •     Experience in college/university settings with military populations.
  •     Knowledge of military culture, ranks, terminology, veteran benefits, and DOD tuition assistance.
  •     Established local and national military/veteran community network.
