NPDL operates market leading brands in shipping and logistics services across 18 Pacific Island markets. The Company is vertically integrated providing supply chain solutions between worldwide markets and the Pacific Islands. NPDL is the largest carrier in its core Pacific Island markets operating eight container ships and servicing 18 Pacific Island nations.
This is a rare opportunity to take full commercial ownership of a Pacific-wide business with a strong focus on sales growth and market expansion. As General Manager, you will lead the sales strategy, drive revenue and margin performance, and build a high-performing sales and business development team. With full P&L accountability and Board exposure, this role suits a commercially astute leader who thrives on winning new business, growing key accounts and turning strategy into measurable results.
Job Description
The position of the General Manager is required to direct the overall functioning and day to day operations and commercial management of the Company, including sustainable development and growth of the cleaning, pest management and fumigation division.
Major Objectives/Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets supported by an annual plan and strategic plan.
- Own the full P&L and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded, supported by an annual budget.
- Lead, coach and mentor sales and business development teams to drive high performance.
- Establish clear KPIs, sale targets, and performance dashboards to maximize productivity and accountability.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to support sales growth.
- Strengthen customers relationships and ensure a customer-centric approach across all functions.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities and industry development to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain health and safety standards in all aspects of service delivery.
- Contribute to executive management and Board reporting as required.
- Contribute to the annual budgets and planning process (annual and strategic plans).
- Compile monthly reports based on analysis of profit trends, service delivery and client feedback.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning in collaboration with finance team, and execute commercial delivery.
- Build and maintain a high performing, engaged and empowered team throughout the business.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualifications in a related field.
Experience:
- Leadership experience in commercial, sales or general management roles.
- Proven success driving revenue growth and profit management in a dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management and commercial performance metrics. Proven sales growth experience.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Data driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skill with attention to detail and commercial execution experienced.
- Adaptable and proactive team player with excellent written and communication skills
