About the Position:
Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a dependable and skilled individual to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of building trades and a hands-on approach to maintaining, repairing, and enhancing our facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Your Role:
- Help to uphold the appearance expectations of Mountainside Treatment Center facilities.
- Help to maintain and repair Mountainside assets for optimal performance.
- Help to ensure maintenance supply inventory is adequate in coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor and the Facilities Manager.
- Be prepared to assist other Operations Departments with special requests such as the Grounds Department for snow removal.
- Perform furniture moving tasks as required.
- Perform Maintenance Department vehicle safety checks.
- Assist during fire drills and respond promptly to alarms and other safety concerns.
- Perform inspections of major mechanical infrastructure such as generators and the fire suppression sprinkler systems.
- Assist in mechanical infrastructure in coordination with seasonal needs.
- Assist other departments to achieve successful completion of collaborative projects.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Basic trades training and/or experience including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and patching/painting preferred.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and be able to spend long periods of time walking/standing.
- Must have basic computer skills including competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and use of internet applications.
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
