Our SaaS subscription software is used by 85k+ active customers in over 100 countries.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p> <p>The Principal: Health, Safety &amp; Environment will serve as the leader for modern work system safety and subject matter expert for Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&amp;E) across the APAC region, while leveraging global best practices to deliver consistent, world-class solutions. This role combines consultative advisory, solution architecture, client engagement and strong industry alliances to support Avetta’s expert services, pre-sales processes, and work system maturity for clients operating in diverse markets worldwide.</p> <p>This role requires familiarity with ESG/Sustainability best practices as it relates to the HSE function, performance and reporting (including Waste, Water and Energy).&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span data-teams="true">If residing within commutable distance to our Sydney office, a hybrid schedule would be requested, (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Remote work may be considered for those outside of commutable distance to an offic</span></strong><strong><span data-teams="true">e.</span></strong></p> <h4><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></h4> <ul> <li>Act as the trusted advisor for HS&amp;E leaders across APAC, providing strategic guidance aligned with regional regulations (e.g., Regional directives/HSE standards/ISO and Sustainability frameworks) as well as global compliance requirements and established better practices.</li> <li>Key-Collaboration Leader: With global teams to ensure APAC-specific solutions integrate seamlessly with Avetta’s worldwide offerings, maintaining consistency with international standards such as ISO 45001 and PDCA methodology. <em>Advocacy and Instilling Belief in a Better Way!</em></li> <li>Support pre- and post-sales activities that align client organizational goals and supply chain risk mitigation strategy to Avetta product / solutions.</li> <li>Develop and enhance professional service offerings tailored to APAC market needs, while contributing to global service innovation and scalability.</li> <li>Design and deliver impactful presentations, workshops and executive roundtables—both virtually and in-person—at client engagements, industry events, and conferences across APAC.</li> <li>Utilize deep experiential knowledge and regional case studies to articulate value propositions and influence HS&amp;E decision-makers.</li> <li>Partner with product development teams to advance Avetta’s systems approach, including Safety Maturity Index and continuous improvement metrics, ensuring relevance for APAC clients and alignment with global benchmarks.</li> <li>Represent Avetta as an external-facing HS&amp;E thought leader, promoting modern safety methodologies and fostering alignment to Avetta solutions across APAC and globally.</li> <li>Strong collaboration with other SME areas, particularly ESG, but to also include Supply Chain Risk Management as well as Change Management</li> </ul> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Key Competencies:</strong></span></h4> <ul> <li><strong>HS&amp;E Expertise- APAC with Global Understanding:</strong> Ability to apply international standards and frameworks (ISO, PDCA) while adapting to APAC-specific regulatory and cultural contexts.</li> <li><strong>Empathetic Communicator and Emotional Intelligence:</strong> Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders and differing opinions to foster long-term partnerships.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Consulting:</strong> Skilled in diagnosing client challenges and architecting tailored solutions that align with organizational goals.</li> <li><strong>Influential Communication:</strong> Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering persuasive presentations and thought leadership content.</li> <li><strong>Highly Collaborative and Cross-Functional Experience:</strong> Proven ability to work successfully within HSE function by creating strong and mutual interdependencies across the organization: Risk Management, Procurement, IT, HR, Sales, Operations, Marketing.</li> <li><strong>Innovation &amp; TRAINING:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 15 years of growing knowledge, responsibility and experience in HS&amp;E leader roles</li> <li>Proficient with Safety Management Systems – ability to demonstrate success through implementation</li> <li>Expertise with Project Management</li> <li>Expertise with Building Business Cases</li> <li>Proficient with Contractor Safety Management</li> <li>Proficient with Analytics and Opportunity Assessment</li> <li>Ability to create and present information that is informative, comprehensive, and targeted.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal communication</li> <li>Proficiency in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Web Conferencing Software (e.g. Zoom, Webex, etc.).</li> <li>Proficient Knowledge – Avetta, ISN, Achilles, Veriforce, PEC, ComplyWorks</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree</li> <li>CSP, ARM and/or other relevant credentials / certifications in Health/Safety</li> <li>Industry participation / network strength in related groups such as: IIRSM (International Institute of Risk/Safety Management), ASSP Region 9 / Mid-East Chapter (American Society of Safety Professionals), NSC Global Networks (National Safety Council), SHINE or others.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-REMOTE</p>
