Position Title:  Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time)

Reports to: Retail Store Leadership

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is upbeat, sales-driven, and committed to delivering outstanding service while maximizing sales through product knowledge, upselling, and add-on recommendations. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on daily store performance and customer satisfaction.


Schedule Requirements:

We are seeking someone who thrives during peak traffic times.

  • 20–30 hours per week
  • Required availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Preferred working hours: 9:45 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Must also be available additional days of the week as needed based on business demands

Responsibilities:

  •  Customer Sales & Service: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring each customer has a positive shopping experience. Engage customers to drive sales and recommend products tailored to their needs.
  •  Sales Achievement: Meet and exceed sales goals. Use product knowledge and sales techniques to promote merchandise and boost store sales.
  •  Store Opening and Closing: Assist with opening and closing the store, following security protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
  •  Staff Training: Participate in training to learn effective sales strategies, product knowledge, and customer service techniques, ensuring consistency in the store experience.
  •  Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Ensure that merchandise is well-stocked, displays are neat, and product availability is high.
  •  Customer Engagement: Build relationships with customers by addressing inquiries and concerns and providing personalized service to encourage repeat business.
  •  Inventory Management: Help with inventory control, including receiving shipments, restocking merchandise, and performing inventory counts.
  •  Cash Handling: Perform cashier duties, accurately processing transactions, managing the register, and handling cash, credit, and other payment methods.
  •  Security Measures: Help ensure the security of the store, following company guidelines and maintaining vigilance.

Requirements

Education:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Prior retail experience
  • Strong customer service and store operations background a plus

Skills:

  • Training & Development: Learn store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service best practices to improve performance.

  • Critical Thinking & Dedication: Strong decision-making abilities, with a passion for retail and dedication to achieving excellence in all aspects of sales and service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver boxes, carts, and merchandise.
  • Ability to move throughout the store, stockroom, and sales floor as needed.

Work Availability:

  • Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Part-Time: 20–30 hours per week, ideally between 9:45 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Additional weekday availability required as business needs dictate
